Objective: build the capacity of CSOs to use the right tools and techniques at the subnational level to promote data and digital rights as well as navigate and understand the use of data and evidence to demand accountability.

Target Audience: Executive Directors of subnational CSOs/ Their Data Enumerators and Staff.

Duration:
 6 weeks

Summary of goals:
  1. Capacity Building: There is a clear need to develop and implement  a targeted county public awareness and education program on information rights. 
  2. Strengthen social accountability using data and evidence by CSOs and citizens : increasing data capabilities at the subnational level to improve the use of data and evidence in advocacy.
  3. Building the capacity of CSOs on Data Protection Impact Assessments
Training Outcomes: 
  1. Strengthen citizen data engagement practices within the county
  2. Sharing of good data practices across participating counties.
  3. Forge new synergies between government (official statistical systems), civil society and other stakeholders for data collection, analysis and use.

Agenda, the NSS, KENQAF, CGD; agenda setting for counties (thematic priorities for data indicators in their counties and map the indicators against the SDGs, MTP III (V2030) and their own CIDPs. )
