    • Welcome to the Course: Introduction to Inclusive Data – Foundations & Norms

Thank you for choosing to take this course, we are delighted to have you join us!

This course has been designed with you in mind—whether you are working in public service, civil society, or grassroots initiatives. If you're involved in programming, budgeting, policymaking, data collection, or public participation, then you are already shaping decisions that impact lives.

Together, we’ll explore what it means to collect, manage, and use data that leaves no one behind. You’ll learn about key concepts, values, and frameworks—both global and national—that support inclusive data practices. You don’t need to be a data expert; just bring your curiosity, your experience, and your commitment to equity.

We encourage you to engage with the materials and reflect on your current practices. Our hope is that this course not only builds your knowledge, but also inspires practical change in how data is used in your work and the programming/policy decisions you undertake are informed by data that is inclusive, equitable, and truly representative of all communities.

Welcome aboard—and thank you for being part of the journey toward more inclusive and impactful data systems!
